Scotlands Bonny Lochs and Waterways


This waterways tour is based in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It
is also a region proud of its heritage having significant role in
the development of the modern world. On this popular tour, we see
iconic landmarks admired across the world as well as sampling some
beautiful Highland scenery.

Our itinerary
Day One

We leave Cumbria and take the road North making a Coffee stop en route before
we have lunch in Glasgow here we have time to explore the heritage of
the city. Later in the afternoon we make the short journey to Drymen
and our hotel where Dinner is served.

Day Two
A full day tour as we glide through the Trossachs on our way to Loch Katrine and
our included cruise on the Sir Walter Scott one of the oldest
steamships in the world. We listen to tales and legends as we cruise
the beautiful waters of the Loch. A visit to Callander follows as we
travel through Rob Roy MacGregor country. Our final stop is Stirling
with its narrow streets and famous Castle here you have plenty of
time to explore. We return to our hotel in time for Dinner.

Day Three
This morning we visit two of Scotland's top attractions and surprisingly
two fairly modern ones aat that. We forst stop at the Kelpies –
towering 30 metres above the Forth and Clyde Canal. These steel
equine structures pay homage to the horses which help build Scotland
fortune during the industrial age. Nearby we stop at the Falkirk
Wheel an award winning development which is again testament to
Scotland's proud heritage. We board our boat for an included journey
on the wheel as we are hoisted 35 metres up on the worlds only
revolving boat lift.. Next we head towards the Capital Edinburgh
where we have an included 90 minute cruise under the bridges of The
Firth of Forth and out to Incholm Island where you can disembark to
look around the Abbey. We return to the hotel in time for Dinner.

Day Four
A fantastic full day tour today as we firstly pass the Queen of the
lochs – Loch Lomond on via Arrochar and Loch long before descending
to the Ancient town of Inverary on Loch Fyne. Free time to explore
this maritime town with its Castle dominating the skyline. We head
North and into the Highlands where imposing Kilchurn Castle on Loch
Awe comes clearly into view. We drive along the shoreline of Loch
Earn stopping in Crieff before we head back to our hotel for a final

Day Five
After breakfast we begin our journey home we make Coffee and Lunch stops en
route arriving back in Cumbria early evening.
