HIGHLAND RAILWAY JOURNEYS
Always a classic and popular Tour. Sit back and immerse yourself in dramatic Highland scenery as we take you on three famous rail journeys to of which are Steam hauled. One being part of the world's most featured
films in Harry Potter. Together with visits to other highland locations this tour has much to offer.

Our itinerary

Day One
We depart Cumbria early morning to head north stopping for coffee at Moffat before we arrive at Stirling for lunch with time to explore. Our journey continues into the afternoon with a comfort stop en route
before we arrive at our hotel in Kingussie where Dinner is served

Day Two
Sees us make the short journey to The Highland Folk Museum Aviemore for some free time before we board our steam train for a ride along the Spey Valley Railway. We reach Broomhills Station used in Monarch of the Glen filming. We then head back to Grantown for some free time before we visit the much acclaimed Speyside Centre at Dulmain Bridge where we can learn about the Myths, Legends, folklore and history of Whisky in the highlands.We return to our hotel for Dinner.

Day Three
We head across to Inverness where we board the famous Kyle Line train to the Kyle of Lochalsh. We venture onto the isle of Skye via the road bridge for a short visit before we head back inland to Eilean Donan
where we have time for a visit and tea stop. Our journey continues through stunning mountain scenery to reach Loch Ness we pass along the shore b y Urqhart Castle before reaching Inverness and retracing our steps back to our hotel for Dinner.

Day Four
Described as the greatest railway journey by steam we head across to the Jacobite line for a journey from Fort William to Mallaig. We travel via Loch Laggan where across the Loch we can see the setting for
Monarch of the Glen (Glenbogle Castle). We will visit the Commando Memorial and Neptune's Staircase a series of Canal Lochs as well as Spean Bridge visitor Centre and Fort William. Our itinerary is dependant upon our train journey time. Our group will be split into two with some on the outward and some on the return rail journeys. This way all our clients will be also be able to experience the Road to the Isles scenic drive as well as time in Mallaig. We stop mid way at the Glenfinnan Memorial close to the Viaduct. The other visits will be as a group before or after of steam train ride. We return to our hotel for Dinner.

Day Five
Today we begin our journey south stopping firstly at the House of Bruar before a lunch stop near Stirling. We continue south with a comfort stop arriving back early evening.
