From Scottish Borders to Yorkshire Dales

NORTHUMBERLAND, DURHAM AND YORKSHIRE DALES
A journey of discovery and heritage as we explore the very different regions.
Wild and often mystic Northumberland with its myths and legends are coupled
with County Durham and its medievil city and monastic countryside.
Then we have the Yorkshire Dales an area of outstanding beauty with
its valleys, limestone pavements, caves and pretty villages.
We also visit the more urbanised parts of the region with a cruise on the
River Tyne in Newcastle.
We leave Cumbria and head across the Pennines, coffee en route before visiting
the National Railway Museum in Stanley we venture onto our hotel
arriving late afternoon. Dinner is served in the hotel tonight.
Today we head north stopping firstly for coffee before we visit Alnwick and an
included visit to the famous Castle. We have time to look around the
historic town before we head up the coast to visit Bamburgh and
Seahouses before we return to our hotel in time for Dinner.
Today we visit Hexham with Church and Gaol afterwards we explore Hadrians
Wall country and make a stop in Corbridge before visiting
Northumberlandia later we return to the hotel for Dinner
South today firstly to Durhan regarded as one of Europes great
architectural experiences where we have time to spend looking around
the City. We then head into the Yorkshire Dales where we travel
through rolling countryside visiting Wensleydale Creamery before
returning through Barnard Castle and Weardale. Dinner in the hotel
We head north and travel through the Scottish Borders as we make our way back
to Cumbria. We have coffee and lunch stops en route arriving back
