This tour has much to offer with a journey through the Western highlands which has an extraordinary diversity of wildlife and Scenery. have time for lunch before continuing onto Loch Lomond and then our
hotel The Arrochar. Tea and shortbread are served upon arrival. In
the evening Dinner is served in the hotel.
Day Two A full day excursion as we board our train in Arrochar for a 2
hour journey along a section of the West Highland Line into Fort
William. Our journey takes us over moorland past many lochs and
through the UK's only snow tunnel. The route takes us around the
massif of Ben Nevis passing roaring rivers and accross bridges
spanning deep gorges before arriving in Fort William in time for
lunch, in the afternoon we have an included cruise in search of marine life as we sail along Loch Linnhe on board the 'Souters Lass' the stunning vista of Ben Nevis towers above the town and the Loch. Our return journey sees us travel through the haunting valley of Glencoe with it's towering mountains on all sides. We return to our hotel in time to freshen up for Dinner.
Day Three today we head along Loch Lomand described by many as the Queen of Scottish Lochs. The Loch is 23 miles in length, 5 miles across at its widest point and in places up to 200 metres deep making it the largest expanse of water in the UK. We board our cruise ship at Tarbett for an included sailing with commentary. Observe the wildlife, a mysterious floating island, Stately homes, a ruin and some of the 30 other islands in the Loch. Afterwards we head to Lomond Shores Visitor Centre with some free time to explore the many attractions on offer. We make our way back to our hotel where Dinner is served tonight.
